Spirit Box: Truth or Myth
Written on August 07, 2018, 07:27:07 AM by Mahesh Chavhan

Paranormal Investigators use many of the techniques and equipments for Spirit Communications. But now a days, they are using a device which is a Spirit Box.

A Spirit Box is an audio-only device that rapidly scans through multiple audio channels that is said to make it relatively easy for ghosts to manipulate to say a word or phrase in real time. It has been proven that sounds other than spoken language can be captured on the spirit box and is usually discovered as something other than what is surrounding the investigator.

A Spirit Box uses white noise as a medium to communicate with spirits. white noise is a random signal having equal intensity at different frequencies, giving it a constant power spectral density.

Nightchamps Paranormal Society
Written on August 02, 2018, 11:24:30 AM by Mahesh Chavhan

I (Mahesh Chavhan) am a Certified Paranormal Investigator from Thomas Francis University under the guidence of our mentor Mr. Doug Kelley.

I started the Paranormal Research Group namely Nightchamps Paranormal Society in India which is mainly active in Maharashtra as well as all over India.

As all of us know that India has number of religions and there are diffrent spiritual concepts throughout India. Every religion has some essence of paranormal in it but people with closed mindsets and skeptisms finds it impossible to believe on. These non believers only believes on physical science and has no clue of Parapsycology and Quantum Physics.

But as a paranormal investigator, its our duty to reveal the facts and educate people about the paranormal world and its phenomena.

Nightchamps Paranormal Society is on the same mission to educate indian society about paranormal science and keep them away from any type of superstitions as it is affecting many lives in...

Back at it, but where is everyone?
Written on March 16, 2018, 04:21:36 AM by Jeremy Gray

I had taken a hiatus from my paranormal investigations between work, life, marriage, divorce, and kids, it's been keeping me plenty busy. Now that the dust has settled, I've found that I'm once again returning to my field of passion. This time though there doesn't seem to be anyone here.  This was once a thriving community of like minded people sharing ideas and stories, discussing theories, as well as how to change the field for the better. Yet upon my return to the community I've held so dear, there hasn't been any activity in almost a year (at the time of writing). I know that jump starting a cold forum is not an easy task, but I'm sure that we'll get to a new "hey-day" with all the like minded people again.

While I was away I did some thinking and refining of my techniques as a field investigator. One of the things that I noticed consistently was that there was no consistency between teams! This makes it almost impossible for verification of evidence as well as...

Top Ten Paranormal News Stories of 2013
Written on January 11, 2014, 07:43:03 PM by Brian Parsons

The top ten paranormal news stories have been selected by myself on heavily guided scientific protocol for selection. Actually, I just put a bunch of stories in a list and graded them on basic criteria. How big was the story? Did the story have a large influence on the media or social networking? How long or how big did this story become in that regard? Did the story have anything to do with furthering any aspect of the paranormal? How wide is the impact on the field? With this basic criteria I weighed the biggest stories and slowly built them into the top ten. 2013 was a hard year to do this, in years past the biggest stories were Sky Noise (2012), UFO's Over Jerusalem (2011), National Press Club Gathering on UFO's (2010), Black Hole over Norway (2009), Montauk Monster (close tie with Georgia Bigfoot Hoax, 2008), and 2013 really had no front-running story that carried it away in social media or made a huge impact in the paranormal. At any rate, the Top Ten Paranormal...

What is the best evidence of ghosts?
Written on October 16, 2013, 12:07:39 PM by Brian Parsons

Time MagazineMany people in the paranormal field may be shocked when I state that ghosts do not exist. They do not exist merely because science has yet to accept them as part of the scientific realm. While they are acknowledged as part of the human experience we have been unable to verify them as a “real” phenomenon. So what will it take to prove once and for all that they are real?

When one ponders the question of “what will the best evidence of ghosts be?” a few things quickly come to mind. We tend to think immediately of our experiences and everyday attempts to find the answer to “are ghosts real?” Would that evidence be an end-all be-all photograph of a familiar former living person? Might it be an EVP that sends a specific message from the other side? Or would...

My personal 2012 in review
Written on January 17, 2013, 03:55:04 PM by Brian Parsons

First Forensic Ghost Excavation Congress Convention2011 ended on a sad note. The latest incarnation of the Ohio Paranormal Investigation Network was disbanded due to a number of decisions. One of these deciding factors was based on the direction of the group seemingly going backwards from what I had hoped around 16 years prior. I had come to the realization that much of the foundation I had put in place had been slowly and silently eroded and I was left standing in two places at the same time. One foot was firmly planted in my beliefs; paranormal investigators were doing most of their things wrong and that while science alone isn’t the only answer there needs to be many changes in this field in order for it to be taken seriously or is able to convert...

Science v/s Paranormal Investigation
Written on May 24, 2012, 12:06:29 AM by Gaurav Tiwari

Science v/s Pseudo Science

Since the day I started investigating the paranormal phenomena, many have asked me if Science supports paranormal existence, or if Science has proven the existence of the spiritual realm. They are usually the same people who can die for their Religion and God, but can quickly turn a disbeliever when it comes to Paranormal. Many people also think that God and Ghosts are two opposit things. When it comes to the rationalists in India, I have personally felt that they are only interested in ridiculing new ideas, or the experiences that millions of people generally have, all across the globe. These Experiences even happens when Science and education are so developed that it has elevated the sense of superiority among human beings that We know almost everything...

Top 10 Paranormal News Stories of 2011
Written on December 28, 2011, 12:05:08 PM by Brian Parsons

The Paranormal News Insider is a short paranormal news segment that is aired during the Grand Dark Conspiracy podcast on the Shark Radio Network every Monday night at 10 P.M. eastern. While the Paranormal News Insider has been on the air since 2008 this is just the second year of creating the list of top ten stories.  When looking at these stories I look at how big the story became; how was it carried in the media and social media beyond the paranormal circles? How long did it circulate? Did the story evolve over time? I’ll also look at the story and determine if it had a valuable impact on the paranormal or anomalous topics. Since there aren’t many breakthroughs when it comes to these stories it’s hard to judge which have had a larger impact positively, especially with a short amount of time to reflect on some of the stories. There are a few stories that...

The Black Magic
Written on August 10, 2011, 12:00:38 AM by Gaurav Tiwari

Magic, as the word suggests is an illusion which cheats your vision, thoughts and subconscious! When I began to research on Black Magic, I had a similar thought in my mind that 'Black Magic' is an illusion which darkens an individual's thoughts to feel negative about his life. I thought that wicked magic is just an art to make a person feel negative about everything in life and to witness something illusionary.

In January 2010, I met a Tantrik who said he can detail me about Black Magic. Being a researcher, I did not want to miss this chance and followed him to learn what he claimed to know.

He told me that Magic is not only illusion but there are many shortcuts in life which we seldom know. The power of belief is the strongest tool in the practice of black magic followed by the shortcuts which can manipulate the principal of general physics. He said, for an example,  Water is formed when Hydrogen and Oxygen combine. Likewise, there are many chemical reactions...

Are We Ruining Ghost Hunting Sites?
Written on February 20, 2010, 11:08:30 PM by Brian Parsons

I had originally posted this article on my Paranormal News Insider blog on November of 2009, but I wanted to re-post it here to a more specific audience. I may do the same with some other articles I have posted there as well as some future articles since there is a concentration of critical thinking paranormal investigators here.

I had an interesting conversation with a gentleman who is part of a fairly well known location that is a hub for paranormal investigators and ghost hunters during a speaking engagement at a library in Grafton, Ohio last October. We were discussing plans on my group possibly coming out to the location to investigate particular aspects of the environment (humidity and other factors) during the colder months of the year when the conversation shifted toward something that I had often thought of; are ghost hunting and paranormal investigation groups ruining...
