The
Certified ParaNexus Field Investigator Program was
developed to enable a network of trained individuals
to investigate anomalous phenomena as well as to assist
clients who are experiencing severe, disturbing, or
frightening paranormal activity primarily involving
parapsychology / hauntings, psychic phenomena, UFO
sightings, and alien abductions. “Certified ParaNexus
Field Investigator” (CPFI) is a designation given
to qualifying independent paranormal researchers who
take a serious and professional approach in helping
clients to resolve paranormal activity as well as
in conducting anomalous research. Field Investigators
may focus on Parapsychology / Hauntings or UFOs/Abductions
or both. ParaNexus CPFI’s are given priority to client
referrals. No fee is required to become a CPFI.
How
does the CPFI Program work?
When
ParaNexus receives an investigation request via this
website, the case will be assigned to the nearest
Field Investigator geographically. The CPFI then contacts
the client/witness and arranges for an investigation.
CPFI's may use members of their established research
group on the investigation (an established team is
not required). Once the investigation has been done,
the CPFI then posts the case report to the ParaNexus
Registry (using a special CPFI Admin section) along
with any photo/audio/video files obtained. The case
information then becomes part of the Registry database
(confidential client information will not be made
public).
What
qualifications are required for Field Investigators?
Since CPFI's represent ParaNexus, we are looking for
individuals who have demonstrated competence in conducting
paranormal investigations and who desire to make meaningful
contributions to the paranormal field. Investigation
experience is not as important as people skills, analytical
ability, and being down-to-earth (grounded). Field
Investigators must assist clients in an unbiased,
logical, scientific, and professional manner. CPFI’s
must be dedicated to investigating paranormal issues
by interviewing witnesses and those affected in an
attempt to discover the truth behind the events. CPFI’s
attempt to resolve paranormal events whenever possible
as well as provide comfort, understanding, coaching,
and resolution to those being affected as required.
While special skills and academic training are not
necessary for you to apply, those with specialties
are especially encouraged to apply. Desired fields
of education include (but are not limited to):
Psychologists • Counselors
• Hypnotherapists • Medical Doctors • Physicists
• Forensic Investigators • Forensic Lab Scientists/Technicians
• DNA Researchers • Metallurgists • Astronomers
• Astrobiologists • Mathematicians • Other Scientific
Disciplines • Those with Military Intelligence experience
• Psi Researchers • Astronauts • Police Officers
• Detectives • Pilots including Airline Pilots •
Air Traffic Controllers • Computer Specialists •
Photo Specialists • Audio Specialists • Video Specialists
• Real Live Human Beings
We
are looking for individuals who bring their own uniqueness
to the anomalous field and who are in a life-position
to handle occasional investigations. The frequency
of assignments will depend on how many requests come
to us for your area. We expect investigation requests
to gradually increase while ParaNexus becomes better
known to the public as well as the paranormal community,
however, no CPFI's will ever be overloaded with cases.
Individuals who desire to become CPFI's must also be
• Qualifying individuals must be of
sound and balanced mind, possess good moral character,
demonstrate common sense and rational thinking absent
of preconceived notions, free from religious or
unreasonable scientific bias, and maintain a serious
and professional disposition.
• All applicants must be active and
current ParaNexus members (dues paid) for at least six months (this can be waived in some cases), must have Certified
Member status, must apply for CPFI status, and then
be screened by ParaNexus administration. A background
check will be performed. "Active member" means someone who is reasonably and regularly involved with ParaNexus including actively posting in the forums.
• Qualifying individuals must be
at least 21 years old.
• No one who has been convicted of
a crime or received a DUI may become a CPFI.
• Qualifying individuals must be
ParaNexus CPI certified for Parapsychology / Haunting
investigations, or ParaNexus CUFI certified for
UFO / Abduction investigations (the CUFI course
is under development.
You may still apply but will need to complete the
CUFI Course within 30 days of release). CPI designations
from non-ParaNexus courses do not qualify for CPFI
status. Individuals must take continuing
education every year to maintain CPFI status.
Approved CE courses will be available at ParaNexus
Academy.
• Field Investigators may focus on
Parapsychology/Hauntings or UFOs/Abductions or both.
This can be amended later.
• Qualifying individuals are not
required to be part of an established research group.
However, some cases may require the presence of
a second CPFI or other competent investigator.
• Approved applicants must use an
email address from a proper domain (e.g., "you@yourdomain.com").
Email accounts from AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, and Gmail
are notorious for sending legitimate emails to the
spam folder which means you may not receive our
emails. Website hosting and emails are included
in ParaNexus memberships. Having a proper email
address will ensure that our case assignment emails
are received and will make you look even more professional
to clients!

becoming a CPFI carries a certain degree of prestige
and status because we do not accept everyone who applies.
CPFI's also receive a special Certificate of Membership
and ID badge.
ParaNexus is dedicated to helping our CPFI's succeed,
therefore, you will have occasional opportunities
not offered to other members, including reduced rates
