I saw the movie The Fourth Kind last weekend and found it highly disturbing.  Does anybody know if the video tapes in the movie are real?  It seemed real, but you know Hollywood. On a side note when I was regressed the regression therapist mentioned that sometimes the aliens would come through, so the idea of that is not far fetched.  Ive also had some experience with the aliens coming across as religious, as in playing God.  The last parts of the movie reminded me of the Anunnaki

Hi Mary,

I saw the movie as well. They did mention that the movie clips were real, but as you stated, you just never know. I could not believe they showed some of the clips that they did.

Well, I started googling about the movie and there is no such doctor.  So the videos are fake.

It's a movie, it's fake. The producers went to great lengths behind the scenes to try and make the public believe this was real (a real town, real events, fake blogs and websites to support the stories). Yep, they actually created fake websites to mislead people into thinking this was real stuff. It's the Blair Witch Project all over again (which brought a lot of people into ghost investigation) and will no doubt spike some interest in UFOs and aliens.

The video footage has real actors, not people who were abducted. I think we've all been absorbed so much reality on television and movies that they are trying to find new ways to make us think what is happening is more realistic than it is.

I went to see the movie on opening day and was very disappointed by it.  My son (movie critic of the family) researched the information and told me that NONE of the stuff they showed can be documented.  It sounds like the director (Mila Jovovich's husband) just latched on to some random data and built this whole movie around it.

Sadly, both Paranormal Evidence and The Fourth Kind were filmed in the "Blair Witch" and "Cloverfield" style, which seems to be wildly popular now.

We left The Fourth Kind 45 minutes into the movie.  I should have spent my money to go see Astroboy.

Not what I expected, the research was there, the technical aspects were kinda there, but I actually fell asleep through it (twice) which says a bunch as I usually just giggle my way through these "documentary" type movies.  Astro boy was actually a much better movie Vickie, a lot different from the show I watched as a kid, but that's another story.
