Hi all.
I haven't posted here in a while, but have been blogging about paranormal things.
Also, I was privileged to be a guest speaker (for the second time) at the Australian Paracon in June, which was a wonderful experience. It's the only event of its kind in my neck 'o' the woods (New Zealand). http://www.paraconaustralia.com/ (Australia and New Zealand are actually separate countries. Ha ha.)

Anyway, here's something on residual hauntings I wrote yesterday. I hope it is of some interest to Paranexus members.

Thank you for still being here.
Cheers

James,

Congratulations on speaking at the Paracon. I always enjoy meeting, mingling, exchanging ideas, and so on at these events. It was interesting to see a few names there I recognized, especially the local Yowie researcher Rex Gilroy.

As far as residual hauntings are concerned, I find it interesting that most groups admit that these are more commonplace than interactive/communicative apparitions. Yet, when viewing their methodologies the first thing they do is attempt to communicate. If there is an imprint how would one expect to get a reply from residual energy?

I enjoyed your comment on routines, I too feel that residual hauntings somehow mimic a person's routines more than a "traumatic event" as glamorized and romanticized in books and television.

As far as physics explaining ghosts; I think we have a bit more work to do, but many of these hypotheses fit in to our views of them. However, I think we also need to explore and attempt to define the opposite side of consciousness so that we can figure out if these experiences are generated from living memories, imprinted actions, or dimensional slips.

Great read!
