Dear ParaNexus Members,
The ParaNexus Board of Directors has made some changes to its corporate and membership structures. Due to the poor economy over the past few years, ParaNexus has just not been able to procure sufficient funds to fulfill its nonprofit mission of anomalous research and education. The membership dues received have barely covered our low expenses leaving us with no financial resources to expand our services to the public. Moreover, there is little hope that a rich benefactor will make a sizeable donation anytime soon.

Therefore, the ParaNexus Board of Directors has voted to dissolve the nonprofit corporation and 501(c)(3) tax exempt status effective December 31, 2011. However, ParaNexus will continue as a non-commercial association and website under the private ownership and expense of its founder and director, Dr. Doug Kelley.

In practical terms, not much will change for current members except that there will no longer be any membership dues. Any monthly membership dues paid since December 15, 2011 will be refunded and the subscription will be cancelled. If you are a monthly subscriber, please look for email notifications. Annual membership dues were discontinued in July 2011 and for the handful of members who paid annually, a prorated refund or credit will be given upon request that can be used for educational courses at the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science (IMHS). Again, not much will change in terms of membership services so nothing will be lost. The Board of Directors sincerely appreciates the support of members both past and present who made it possible for us to start and operate ParaNexus up to this time. Current expired members will also be grandfathered in and their accounts returned to active status (please allow a few days for this to happen).

New requirements have also been implemented for future members in that all new members must be certified and trained in anomalous research from courses at ParaNexus Academy, the Institute of Metaphysical Humanistic Science, or MUFON. Other training such as academic degrees in science may also qualify. However, all current Non-Certified members as of December 31, 2011 have been grandfathered in and will not be required to become certified (although it is strongly encouraged). More information on the CPI course is available at IMHS,

These changes will not significantly affect ParaNexus and we hope that more serious researchers will join our efforts to learn more about the mysteries of our world and universe.

Again, thank you for your support over these past few years!

Doug Kelley
