I think the Native American Indians were, and are, a group of people who are in tune with the "spirit" world on a definitely higher level than most people! Yes, I think in the right hands, smudging works. I have Cherokee in my blood and a Wiccan sister, so we "smudge" to clear negativity now and then. Whether it actually drives away entities?, I don't really know. This is one of those rare occasions that I think there is a bit more than just "the power of belief" depending on who is doing it. Just my humble opinion.  Wink

Hey Kev,
Yes, an excellent article on smudging!

I personally have a hard time believing that certain types of smoke have any effect on spirits, but I do believe that smudging induces and strengthens specific beliefs which, in turn, changes a person's energy. This can aid in helping the person take their power back which is the one thing that always resolves most types of paranormal issues.

Well done!

I also believe that if its in the right hands that it will work. The native americans were so in tune to the spirit world that I wouldnt put anything past them! Great article!
