So my pondering is this;
 What does it take for a spirit or ghost to move an object or knock on a wall?

If a ghost/spirit is energy, then doesn't that mean that we should be able to find them using certain levels of technology?

EMF Spikes, are they valid? The body emits a constant electric field, some call it the aura and others claim to see and controll theirs, there are the pictures of Vridian (SP?) cameras that have the aura of plants and such.

So are we barking up the right path to see ghosts? Couldn't the same kind of image caputring technology be used to find our wandering spirits?
What happens to a spirit when they pass on? Does the energy dissapate into something else or get transfered to another plane of existence or another dimension perhaps?

Why is everything always a cold spot? Is a cold spot us finding a ghost/spirit? Is a cold spot just a door way? Doorway to what? You tell me.

Why is this community the only ones that seem to be actively seeking Cryptids and ETs?  Why isn't every "Joe Bloke" out there with a telescope looking at the stars trying to find an answer to "what's out there" or looking in the wilderness here for some sign of something?

Who says that we aren't the very ghosts/spirits we're seeking to find? I can tell when someone has been in my "routine places" so why can't it be that other people can tell when we enter an investigation site?
Some people have "their" parking space here at the office, and if I park in them I feel weird, like "this isn't mine" does that mean that thye have left such a strong imprint on the space, that i might be able to measure the disturbance with some kind of gear?  Couldn't we reproduce some kind of paranormal events in a Lab?

Does telekinesis truly do anything useful? sure we could move stuff, but why would you want to, to be so smart yet so lazy?  That has huge responsibility that most humans certainly aren't worthy of even attempting.  Can't we physically force someoneto have telekinesis, isn't the running theory that it's a sort of placebo affect on the brain?  So what makes that entire theory possible?  Why does telekinesis work?  is it the same idea as why a ghost can knock on a wall, but then why are we sure that it is a ghost on an investigation and not some psychic adept unaware they are doing it?

If white noise works to help give the ghosts something to work with, why don't we try sonics or other types of wave forms to give them energy, after all, sound is energy too.  Also it might make everyone on the team more psychically aware, as there is another theory that external sound can modify your brain frequency to a more meditative state.  How would that potentially effect ghosts/spirits?  Could we use that theory (assuming it works) to keep ghosts trapped in an area or atleast repel them from homes?

Would keeping a ghost in an area really make that much difference in the science field? What could you learn from one in captivity?  I think like a lion, what do I know about them, stuff I've seen on TV about them in the wild, in their habitat.  I go to the Louisville Zoo and see them and I'm not impressed with a big lazy cat.  So would holding one captive really do that much for our field?

Thanks for reading my ponderings.  Just wanted to post all my thoughts in one place so that one thing I said may inspire somebody to do something productive for the field.

Deep stuff, Jeremy! By "Vridian" I think you mean Kirlian Photography. Kevin just posted a nice article about this in the Parapedia.

I am a soldier in the US Army. I have spent 15 mo in Iraq, that was where I first discovered Paranexus and the CPI course, which I promptly took. I was stationed in Germany, and explored some wonderful castles, but the culture over there doesn't acknowledge "hauntings" they just accept that there are spirits in the house and move on. It's a different approach, and they get along fine with the dearly departed. My current posting at Fort Knox, really enables me to have some opportunities, (being only a short drive from Waverly Hills for a start). I love being on the same time zone as my family and friends for a change. My first paranormal experience happened when I was dating a girl in high school, I was over at her place, and a bottle lifted off the counter, and fell to the floor. I saw the dust ring, it didn't slid, it was lifted. Since then I was really curious about the whole thing and how it happened, and if it could happen again. I studied everything I could get my hands on from ouija boards, to tarot cards, to catholic grimories of demonology, to physics, the list goes on. finally, I got some equipment and started to ask the spirits directly. no solid responses yet, but I'll be sure to let you know if that changes.
